acceptance of terms

By creating an account, browsing the platform, purchasing tickets, or otherwise using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date reflects material revisions.

definitions

In these Terms:

• “Tikozetu”, “we”, or “us” means Monkish Technologies Limited d/b/a Tikozetu, the operator of the Services.
• “You” or “User” means any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Services.
• “Organiser” means a user who creates, lists, or manages events on the platform.
• “Attendee” means a user who purchases tickets or registers for events through the Services.
• “Content” means text, images, video, data, and other materials submitted or transmitted through the Services.

eligibility and accounts

You must have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements under the laws of Kenya (or your jurisdiction) to use the Services.

When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us promptly of any unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity under your account.

platform use and conduct

You may use the Services to discover events, purchase tickets, manage your account, and — where enabled — create and manage events, in accordance with these Terms.

You must not misuse the Services. Without limitation, you must not:

• Violate applicable laws or regulations.
• Infringe intellectual property or other rights.
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
• Engage in spam or unauthorised marketing.
• Attempt to compromise platform security, scrape without authorisation, or disrupt the Services.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Distribute malware or other harmful code.

organisers

Tikozetu is a marketplace. Organisers create and run the events listed on the platform and are responsible for accurate event information (including date, time, venue, and description), legal and venue compliance, delivering events as advertised, and their own tax obligations relating to ticket revenue.

Cancellations, postponements, and refunds are handled according to our Cancellation Policy. Tikozetu facilitates those processes through the platform and support but is not liable for organiser decisions about an event.

ticket purchases and attendees

When you place an order, you request to purchase the tickets shown at checkout. Payment confirms the order. Prices are set in connection with the event listing and may include platform fees, which are disclosed before you confirm.

Unless the Cancellation Policy or a clearer event-specific organiser term provides otherwise, ticket sales are final. You must provide accurate payment information. Tickets are delivered digitally (typically by email and in My tickets). Keep ticket details private. Tickets are non-transferable unless the organiser expressly allows transfer.

As an attendee, you agree to follow event rules, venue policies, and applicable law. Organisers may refuse entry or remove attendees who violate those rules or engage in disruptive behaviour.

payments and fees

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. By paying through the Services, you also agree to the applicable terms of those providers.

Platform and processing fees may apply. All fees payable by you are shown before you complete checkout. You are responsible for entering accurate payment details.

intellectual property

The Tikozetu platform — including its design, branding, and proprietary materials — is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary materials without permission.

You retain ownership of Content you submit. You grant Tikozetu a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, use, display, and distribute that Content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the Services.

privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully.

disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Services are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that organiser-provided event information is accurate or that an event will occur exactly as described. We are not responsible for organiser failures, event quality, or cancellations beyond what our Cancellation Policy and applicable Kenya law require.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tikozetu is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Kenya law.

termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Services, or where reasonably necessary to protect the platform or other users.

On termination, your right to use the Services ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) remain in effect.

governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved in the courts of Kenya.
